What are the boundaries for the Greenland Hills Neighborhood? McCommas Boulevard on the North, Greenville Avenue on the East, Vanderbilt Avenue on the South, and Central Expressway on the West.

What are the annual membership dues? Annual dues to join the neighborhood association, only, are $25 per year. Annual dues for Extended Neighborhood Patrol / Crimeawatch, only, are $200 per year. Should you elect to pay Extended Neighborhood Patrol / Crimewatch dues as well as neighborhood association dues, the cost is $220 ($200 goes to ENP / CW and $20 goes to the neighborhood association).

What do these dues cover? Neighborhood Association dues cover the costs of the Greenland Hills Gazette quarterly newsletter, neighborhood events, website maintenance and hosting, upkeep of the GHNA-owned lot at the corner of Vanderbilt/Central Expressway, maintenance of the oval-shaped neighborhood identification signs located on the historic-styled lamposts throughout the neighborhood, and liability insurance for the neighborhood association. Extended Neighborhood Patrol dues cover the costs of the off-duty, City of Dallas police officers that patrol our neighborhood (salaries, auto costs, cell phone, etc).

Why should I join Crimewatch? Our program has proved to be the single most effective tool in driving down crime in our neighborhood. 100% of the Crimewatch dues go directly to our Extended Neighborhood Patrol police officers. While crime rises in the surrounding neighborhoods, we have seen reductions and only slight rises. The reason is our Crime Watch program. Join today!

I am a new resident to Greenland Hills. How do I become a member? Once a month, home addresses that have sold through the local real estate MLS system are provided to our Welcome Committee and you will receive a packet with a membership form from them. Or you may join the association by going to the Become A Member page on this website.

I would like to join the neighborhood assocation and ENP/CW, but it's not the beginning of the calendar year. Are my dues prorated? No. If you join mid-year, the dues are the same as they would be in January. What's the benefit of this? Your ENP/CW "extra" dues will pay for additional patrol hours by off-duty, City of Dallas police officers!

What benefits do I receive by paying Extended Neighborhood Patrol / Crimewatch dues? You are helping your neighborhood keep crime rates as low as possible. You will receive a list of quarterly phone "Codes" as well. With these codes, you may call the Crimewatch telephone number to notify the ENP officers that you will be out of town and for them to patrol your house while you are gone. You may also use the code to call in and report anything that you feel the ENP officers need to know. For emergencies, be sure to call 911 first. If there is an ENP officer on patrol at that time, they will be the first-responder.
