The Beautification Committee celebrates the unique beauty and charm of Greenland Hills.  From recognizing outstanding yards of the month to organizing alley clean-ups, the Beautification Committee has the enjoyable task of highlighting and improving upon our neighborhood's aesthetic.

The most visible effort is the Yard of the Month program.  A yard is chosen each month from March through December.  Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Calloway's Nursery, each winner receives a $25 Calloway's gift certificate in addition to having a photo of their yard and an article featured in an issue of the Greenland Hills Gazette.

In addition to a noticeable effort to keep an inviting, well-maintained front yard, a few qualities that are considered when selecting the Yard of the Month include:

• Annual color accents
• Perennial choices
• Native plants
• Overall landscape design
• Outdoor design touches
